The Journey to the West-inspired title was nominated in four categories — Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Action Game, and Best Art Direction — and was the first Chinese game to receive a Game of the Year nomination at the awards. Although Chinese players had high hopes for Black Myth: Wukong to win the top award, it was Sony’s Astro Bot that took home the Game of the Year.
